Description

The calm of the mountains and a relaxing atmosphere make Bultei one of the most appreciated destinations for hiking enthusiasts exploring the trails of northern Sardinia. The dense vegetation and thriving wildlife of the Sa Fraigada woods and Fiorentini Forest are major attractions, and designated camping areas are available for visitors.

The village lies on the southern slope of the Goceano mountain chain. Its historic center, brightened by colorful murals, unfolds around the Santa Margherita parish church.

Among the rural sanctuaries, the Romanesque church of San Saturnino (belonging to the parish of Benetutti) stands out. Nearby are the ancient thermal springs known as the Aquae Lesitanae.

Of archaeological interest are the Su Coveddu corridor dolmen, the Sas Prisgionas giants’ tomb, and several nuragic structures. Notably, the Tilariga nuraghe still preserves its rare corbelled lintels that once supported a balcony.
