Description

Torralba is the town of the nuragic palace of Santu Antine, one of the greatest architectural expressions of the nuragic civilization. The archaeological complex is located in the Valley of the Nuraghi, where dozens of megalithic towers, giant's tombs, and dolmens represent the testimonies of a glorious past. The site attracts thousands of tourists from all over the world throughout the year.

The urban center is nestled between mainly volcanic hills, crossed by the ancient route that connected Porto Torres to Cagliari, running through the entire island. Along the main road is the Museum of the Valley of the Nuraghi of Logudoro – Meilogu, housing artifacts from various periods.

The heart of the town extends around the parish church of San Pietro Apostolo, a religious building in Gothic Renaissance style built in 1615. However, there are many rural churches scattered across the countryside, dedicated to Sant'Antonio, Nostra Signora di Cabu Abbas, and Spirito Santo.
