Description

What to do in Tula? The options are endless—from fishing, birdwatching, and outdoor sports like trekking, canoeing, and even waterskiing. From the top of the Su Sassu plateau, visitors can enjoy a breathtaking view of Lake Coghinas, the largest lake in northern Sardinia and a popular destination for tourists and anglers. Every August, the Carp Festival is held on its shores.

Walking and mountain biking trails wind through the surrounding hills, offering a chance to immerse yourself in unspoiled nature—forests of holm oaks and cork oaks, strawberry trees, and an undergrowth of ferns.

The area is rich in domus de janas, giants’ tombs, and nuraghi. The best-preserved include Occultu, Mazzone, Sa Pigalva, and Mannu. But the most fascinating site is the megalithic wall of Sa Mandra Manna, where mysterious carvings in the stone may be remnants of unknown Nuragic writing.

Built in the late 19th century in neo-Romanesque style, the parish church of Sant’Elena Imperatrice houses the polyptych of the Trinity.
