Description
The museum, opened in 1989, is located in the former Monte Granatico, a late 19th-century building near the church of Santa Giulia.
The collection, enriched by excavations, donations, and collections, is displayed in two rooms with a well-structured educational apparatus, following a chronological and topographical criterion.
The Neolithic section presents artifacts from the Ozieri culture, such as vases and lithic objects.
In the Nuragic part, artifacts from the territory of Padria are on display, including reproductions of the Sword Trophy and other bronze objects.
An area of particular interest is the collection of terracotta coming from the votive deposit of San Giuseppe, referred to the Roman center of Gurulis Vetus.
The Punic-Roman section includes vases, funeral urns, and lamps.
Finally, a section on the artifacts from the excavations in the Santa Giulia Parish has been added.
