Description
The church of San Pietro ad Ardara is built on a natural hillock, rich in surface ceramics and construction materials, bearing witness to the existence of an ancient village.
The medieval building collapsed in 1855 and was rebuilt in the first decade of the 1900s, maintaining the original apse, oriented to the east and dated, according to stylistic comparisons, to the 13th century.
The layout is a single nave, made with ashlars (squared blocks) of local basalt.
