History and tradition.

Description

Its construction, on a hill overlooking the village, dates back to the seventeenth century, in late Gothic style, but it has undergone numerous structural changes over the centuries.

The church is characterized by a single nave and a small bell tower with a sail shape, and a significant Byzantine cross carved on the lintel of its side entrance is noticeable.

The festival of Sant'Antonio Abate takes place on the Sunday following mid-August. This popular festival has always been the most heartfelt event for the population, and in it a procession of believers on horseback and on foot accompanies the simulacrum of the Saint from the parish church of San Nicola, where the statue is kept, up to the beautiful country church overlooking the village.
