Description
Better known as the church of Sant’Antonio, it is the oldest church in Bottidda.
Next to it stood a Franciscan convent built around 1645, of which unfortunately only a few traces remain.
The Convent was built around the 1640s by the Franciscans at the behest of Andrea Bacallar, bishop of Alghero.
The monks themselves dedicated the temple to Our Lady of the Angels.
Inside the church, an ancient statue of the Madonna is kept, venerated as the Madonna “de su zichi”.
Also preserved is an ancient statue of St. Francis of Assisi.
