Description
The Church of San Michele Arcangelo is one of the most fascinating examples of Sardinian-Catalan architecture in Sardinia.
Built between the 13th and 14th centuries, it has a single nave with elegant pointed arches and a square major chapel.
The lateral chapels, with barrel vaults, enrich the interior, while the facade, with its double slope and large rose window, captures the attention of visitors.
The tympanum portal, adorned with acanthus leaf capitals and a series of small arches, brings a majestic tone to the building.
Over the centuries, the church has played a central role in the religious life of the community, hosting a diocesan Synod in 1420, testament to its historical significance.
