Description
The rural church is located at the foot of Mount Mura, in the municipality of Torralba, near the remains of an ancient temple that shares the same dedication.
Built in the first half of the seventeenth century, the church features a Latin cross plan with a single nave, a transept and a presbyteral chapel, where a valuable gilded wooden altar dating back to the 18th century is preserved.
The exteriors are made with irregular stone blocks, and the long sides of the building are supported by buttresses.
The facade, simple and linear, is crowned by a bell gable and features a quadrangular window, while the entrance portal is topped by a tympanum.
The festival takes place on January 17th and is characterized by the lighting of a big bonfire on the eve of the celebration.
