Rebuilt in 1968, it preserves a historic bell tower and valuable mosaics.
Description
The Church of Santi Cosma e Damiano is the main place of worship in Anela.
The current building, consecrated on June 23, 1968, features modern and airy architecture, characterized by slender lines.
This new construction replaced the old parish church, probably dating back to the XVI-XVII century, of which the bell tower made of local granite, about 20 meters high, remains.
Inside the church, numerous mosaics stand out, including one depicting the patron saints Cosma and Damiano, located in the apse and dominating the main hall.
