Description
The church of Santi Cosma, Damiano, and Pantaleo stands on a hill 610 meters above sea level, overlooking the town of Giave.
It is the heart of the festival that is most cherished by the community, celebrated on September 26 and 27, when pilgrims from all over Sardinia go there out of devotion.
Saints Cosma and Damiano, patrons of doctors and pharmacists, are invoked for the healing of the sick. Their faith was severely tested in Roman times, but their memory lives on in various Christian places of worship.
