Description
Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Monte Rasu, the Ancient Franciscan Convent of Bottida is a place rich in history and spirituality.
Founded in the first half of the 13th century by Blessed Giovanni Parenti, a disciple of St. Francis of Assisi, the complex hosted the Franciscan friars until 1855.
In the 20th century, it was purchased and restored by Pellegrino Giannasi, whose interventions have preserved the original structure.
Today, part of the convent is owned by the Monastery of the Poor Clares of Santa Rosa di Viterbo.
