Description

Located in the historic center of Monteleone Rocca Doria, facing the Church of Santo Stefano and the Porta del Parco Grazia Deledda, the Documentation Center on bread making overlooks a large patio with a view over the valley of the Temo.

It is part of the Parco Deleddiano and enhances the local material culture and the traditions of the island.

Inside, an exhibition path narrates the history of bread in Sardinia, with a focus on the typical processing techniques of the country.

The center hosts educational spaces, tastings, and practical workshops.

The panels illustrate the cycle of the wheat, from sowing to transformation.

Traditional tools and typical breads such as su moddizzolu, su zicchi, su pistoccu and su zicchi ladu in iscadda are on display.

The museum offers guided tours, demonstrations, and activities for schools, providing an authentic immersion in Sardinian bread-making art.
