Description
The necropolis includes 18 hypogeums, of which 17 are carved into the steep ridge, one at the top of it. The site shows a high concentration of cult motifs (carved, engraved, and painted), architectural and functional.
Particularly significant are:
- tomb II with double horn-shaped signs painted on the walls;
- tomb VI with a bovine protome in relief, painted red;
- VIII, IX, XI with multiple engraved horn-shaped signs;
- XII with a representation of the hearth on the floor;
- XV with traces of red paint and anthropomorphic engravings in the dromos (corridor).
IX was re-adapted later in the Nuragic era, creating an architectural façade with a centred stele pattern.
