Description
Inaugurated in 2007, the Centre of Peasant Culture of Mara is housed in a restored ancient manor house and is part of the Grazia Deledda Literary Park.
The project involved the collection of testimonies and artifacts related to the agro-pastoral civilization, now displayed in an educational path with texts and photographs.
The museum preserves over 400 agricultural instruments, tools for processing grain, furnishings, artisanal tools, and animal gear.
An area is dedicated to the local mining activity and the traditional costume.
The Centre is continuously evolving, enriching itself with new finds that tell the story of rural life of the past.
