Tancas Abertas

The program of the "Bastida di Sorres" 2024, which will take place from November 8 to 10 in Borutta, includes a wide range of events that recreate the medieval atmosphere. 

Friday, November 8

• Guided tours of the San Pietro di Sorres cathedral, the Ulàri cave, and the museum.
• Opening of the exhibition on medieval torture instruments.
• Presentation of the book *Le delizie di Michele*, accompanied by medieval music.

Saturday, November 9

• From the morning, the medieval camp will be open to the public with visits and demonstrations of craftsmanship, falconry, music, and juggling and trapeze performances.
• Throughout the day, there will be a food trail dedicated to traditional Sardinian flavors, and in the afternoon, reenactments of historical trials, a medieval wedding, and a large nighttime battle at 5:30 PM.
• The day will conclude with fire and dance performances.

Sunday, November 10

• On Sunday, there will be similar activities, with guided tours and medieval demonstrations.
• At 12:00 PM, the investiture of a knight will take place inside the cathedral, followed by the "Festa della Faronia di Sorres" with a ritual distribution of sheep meat.
• In the afternoon, educational workshops, falconry shows, and a new nighttime battle will continue, followed by fire performances to conclude the festival.
