Thursday, February 27 – Costume party and gastronomic traditions

- Carnival kicks off with the Costume Party for school children, a moment of joy designed for the little ones.

- Following that, there will be a traditional gastronomic competition "Pone a modde unu punzu e fae", where participants challenge each other in preparing the typical dish made of bread and fava beans.

- The day concludes with the traditional favata accompanied by live music with DJs and local artists.

Saturday, March 1 – The installation of Giolzi and the Wine Competition

- One of the most anticipated moments is the installation of Giolzi, the symbolic mask of the Bonorva Carnival, which takes place in Piazza Santa Maria in the presence of costumed groups.

- At the same time, the 12th edition of the Wine Competition is held, which awards the best local red wine.

- The day ends with a large barbecue offered by the Association Cavalieri S’Ischiglia.

Sunday, March 2 – The Mask Hunt and theater in the Sardinian language

- The day is dedicated to children with the Mask Hunt, an exciting treasure hunt with a carnival theme.

- In the afternoon, there will be a cultural space with the theatrical representation in the Sardinian language "Su Dibattimentu", which showcases local traditions and dialect.

Monday, March 3 – Songs, pancakes, and typical dishes

- In the afternoon, the fifth edition of "Il coriandolo d’oro" takes place, a singing competition for children that adds a carefree note to the Carnival.

- The day continues with pancake making and a tasting of a typical Bonorva dish, to immerse oneself in the authentic flavors of tradition.

Tuesday, March 4 – The grand parade and the bonfire of Giolzi

- The final day of Carnival is the most spectacular: the grand parade of masks and float decorations travels through Bonorva to Piazza Santa Maria, where the evocative bonfire of Giolzi takes place, a ritual that marks the end of the festival.

- The event concludes with the awarding of the most original masks with the famous Premio Piskittu.
