Wednesday, August 7 in Piazza Generale Casula, the evening starts at 6 PM with the first edition of the Gastronomic Competition “Villanova and its territory” reserved for amateur cooks. It will be a fun challenge to encourage citizens to compare and appreciate the values of the territory by highlighting the potential of their products. At 10 PM, the Compagnia Teatro Sassari presents the show “Gran Caffè Astra,” which will bring to the stage the joy and spirit of the “Café chantant” popular during the Belle Époque.

Thursday, August 8, the event kicks off at 5:30 PM with a dance gathering of dance schools presented by Lucia Cossu in Piazza Casula, where participants can dance to the notes of the accordion played by Antonio Tanca. At 7:30 PM, the Social Dinner will commence in the square with traditional local dishes including gnocchetti alla Logudorese, local roast pork, “ghisadu” of sheep “a s’antiga,” breaded and fried eggplants, cheese, and good local wine. Participants can enjoy the dishes comfortably at the long tables set up along Via Sassari. At 8:30 PM, the awards for the Gastronomic Competition “Villanova and its territory” will take place, and from 10 PM the evening continues with smooth and group dancing for everyone. Simultaneously, in Piazzetta Arru starting at 9 PM, a refreshment point will open offering sandwiches, drinks, and cocktails, accompanied by musical groups and a DJ set.

Friday, August 9, the evening of Logudorese songs will feature singers Emanule Bazzoni, Torangelo Salis, and Franco Dessena, accompanied on guitar by Nino Manca and on accordion by Tore Podda.
