Feast of Santa Sabina
The Festa di Santa Sabina in Pattada is an event that brings together tradition, culture, and entertainment.
Description
The celebration begins with the “Sagra de Sas Pellitzas”, a culinary day dedicated to the typical pasta from Pattada, accompanied by Sardi poets and singers.
The religious ceremonies include a solemn procession through the streets of the town, during which the statue of the saint is accompanied by faithful, folk groups in traditional costumes, and local horsemen.
At the end of the procession, a solemn mass is celebrated in the parish church.
Alongside the religious rites, the festival offers a series of civil events that enrich the program:
- Musical Concerts: Performances by local and national artists enliven the evenings, ranging from traditional Sardinian music to more contemporary genres.
- Cabaret Shows: Comedians and artists of regional and national fame entertain the audience with fun performances.
- Folkloric Parades: Folk groups from different parts of Sardinia participate in parades, showcasing the richness of the island's costumes and traditions.
- Poetic Competitions: Events dedicated to Sardinian poetry, such as "Su Sambene nou de sa poesia," offer moments of cultural reflection.
- Funfair: Throughout the duration of the celebrations, attractions and rides are available for the enjoyment of both young and old.
