Bottida - Feast of Saint Anthony

The Bonfire of Sant'Antonio is a traditional ritual characterized by a large fire, singing, and tasting of typical products.

The ritual begins with a solemn mass in the afternoon, during which families bring typical sweets "sas tilìcas" as offerings.

After the celebration, a procession heads towards the square, where a knight with the banner of the Saint performs "S'Inghìriu" or "Sas Inghiriàdas", three counterclockwise turns and three clockwise turns around the bonfire, and the participants repeat the turns.

A characteristic custom is to make a cross on the forehead, or to smear one's face with the soot from the Fogarone.

In addition to "sas tilìcas", meat dishes are offered, including sa piscadura, and local wine.
