During the festival, the streets of the village are colored with the vibrant hues of seasonal vegetables: fiery red peppers, crunchy zucchinis, shiny eggplants, and intensely fragrant tomatoes.
These products, grown in the fertile lands surrounding Romana, are presented in all their freshness and genuineness, a result of agriculture that respects natural cycles.

But the Sagra dell'Ortolano is much more than just an exhibition of vegetables: it is a journey through the authentic flavors of Sardinia.

Among the stalls, visitors can taste traditional dishes such as “cocoi prenas” filled with vegetables and aromatic herbs, rustic soups, and “casadinas” with a filling of cheese and vegetables, which delight even the most curious palates.
