S'Arte de sa liadura is an event that pays homage to the traditional dressing of the women's headdress.
Every December, Anela hosts S'Arte de sa Liadura, an event dedicated to enhancing local traditions.
The focus of the event is the practical demonstration of the dressing of the traditional women's costume, particularly the characteristic headpiece known as "sa liadura". This complex procedure, passed down through generations, involves the gathering of hair into two side braids, called "sos cuccalese", and the layering of two scarves, one made of fabric and one of white silk, which are tied at the nape of the neck. Finally, "sa tiazola", an embroidered handkerchief using traditional techniques, is placed on the head.
In addition to the dressing, the day is enriched by displays of typical and artisanal products, performances of traditional masks, and parades of folk groups from all over Sardinia.
The event offers visitors an authentic immersion into the local culture, featuring songs, dances, and flavors of the region, representing a unique opportunity to rediscover and appreciate the ancient Sardinian customs.
